HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
-
HaloDerm works in a different time frame for everyone because moles aren’t just on the surface, they extend below the surface and have a root. The root is where the product needs to go in order to remove the blemish. Repeat the exfoliation/application process every day until a scab has formed. The number of applications vary from person to person and depend on a lot of different factors like: Mole size, mole height, depth of the root etc. (same goes for skin tags). It can take multiple applications. HaloDerm is intended to be used every day. This ensures maximum exposure to the skin and allows for the product to reach the root in the quickest manner possible. When you take breaks in-between applications, you are giving the skin time to heal back up and then you are essentially starting from day one all over again. Most products that require only simple applications takes weeks to do anything and they all contain acid. We tried to make our product the most natural way possible that's why it requires more steps. Haloderm is 100% natural safe for your skin.

HOW DO I KNOW IF HALODERM IS WORKING?
-
Typically, you know HaloDerm has worked when a scab forms over the mole. You may get a white ring around it and some swelling and redness. Don’t be alarmed, the whiteness around the mole, is your bodies immune response sending white blood cells to the area. Similar to how it reacts to a bee sting. This is a good sign as your body has seen the mole as something that shouldn’t be there and will remove it on it’s own. You can stop applying HaloDerm now. It’s work is done. Now it is important that you take great care of the scab and do not pick or remove it prematurely. What you want to do now is keep a liberal amount of Neosporin on it and cover them with a bandaid. Reapply 3 times a day, but try to keep it covered 24/7. Your skin heals best in a moist environment, not a dry one. Use it until it heals completely for best results.

-
WHY DO I NEED TO EXFOLIATE MY MOLE?
-
The filing process is only meant to remove the top layers of the mole so the product has a pathway to reach the root. Exfoliating the mole or skin tag with an emery board or scratching it with a toothpick is the only way to create a pathway and the product will not work without a pathway. This is the most important step in the removal process because it allows the formula to penetrate into the root and scab faster. If this isn't being done the process could take months as it will remove the blemish layer by layer.

-
WHAT SHOULD I DO ONCE MY SCAB FORMS?
-
After the scab has formed, you apply antibiotic ointment and keep it covered. The scab typically takes 7-10 days to fall off when you are using the Neosporin and if you consider the actual function of a scab, this is a good thing! The scab is protecting the new skin that is rebuilding underneath and the Neosporin is helping by not just by it's antibiotic properties, but its moisturizing properties as well. Once the scab has fallen off, there will be a pink or red area where the mole used to be. You then keep the area moisturized and out of the sun. The redness fades over time.
-
-
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE MY SKIN TO HEAL?
-
The skin can take up to 90 days to heal and the redness will fade over time. The redness will fade over time just as it would if you had the moles surgically removed. Make sure to keep the area moisturized throughout the day and out of the sun. If the new skin is exposed to sunlight or tanning beds, you have the risk of developing hyperpigmentation.
-
-
WILL I HAVE A SCAR AFTER?
-
Whenever attempting to manipulate or change the dermis one could expect that a blemish or scar may result. In most circumstances the use of the product will result in a minor and temporary blemish that normally fades away within 90 days. The healing time does take a while just as it would if you had it surgically removed. There is a slight chance of scarring. It's almost impossible to predict how your skin will heal so, if you are prone to scarring (especially keloid), it is best to test it on another area of your body first. A cocoa butter stick is a great way to help the area heal quickly and it goes on like chapstick so its easy to take with you. They are about $2 at Walmart, Amazon or a beauty supply store. It melts at body temperature and is quickly and easily absorbed into the skin. It penetrates not only the top layer of skin but the dermis layer as well where the body is able to retain the moisture. Some customers have told us that they use coconut oil and it helps speed the healing. In the meantime, keep the area out of the sun and keep it moisturized throughout the day.

IS HALODERM GOOD FOR FLAT AND RAISED MOLES?
-
Our product is specifically designed to remove flat or raised moles and skin tags. There are some moles that are skin color, but just to make sure what you are trying to remove is a mole, have your mole checked by a dermatologist to ensure it is not cancerous and is safe for removal. Getting rid of flat moles requires extra care. During the exfoliation process, you have to be very careful not to scratch the skin around the mole and also to protect the skin around it with Vaseline before applying the HaloDerm.

-
CAN I USE THIS ON MULTIPLE MOLES AT ONCE?
-
We advise applying HaloDerm to just one mole the first time. That way you can see how your body reacts and will be comfortable with the process. We would also recommend applying it to a mole in a discreet location, if possible. Once you remove one and see how it works, you will be more comfortable applying it to multiple moles.

CAN I USE HALODERM ON MY FACE?
-
Yes, HaloDerm can be used to renove moles on your face. The skin on the face takes a little longer than the skin on the body to heal. Keeping the Neosporin on it and making sure to clean the area twice a day with a gentle cleanser will help the skin repair faster. The healing process can take up to 90 days and the redness will slowly fade away. Make sure to keep the area moisturized throughout the day and out of the sun. If the new skin is exposed to sunlight or tanning beds, you have the risk of developing hyperpigmentation.

-
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF ONLY PART OF MY MOLE SCABS OVER?
-
When there is a portion of the mole that did not scab over, this typically means the mole was not properly exfoliated and the product did not penetrate the root fully. You will need to do another application. Make sure to only exfoliate the un-scabbed portion of the mole and do your best to not get the HaloDerm on the scab. If some does get on the scabbed portion, it's not going to hurt it, just don't intentionally cover it with the HaloDerm. If you are not sure that you will be able to exfoliate the un-scabbed mole safely, you can always wait till your mole fully heals and repeat the process again on the remaining mole.

-
MY MOLE TURNED BLACK. IS THAT NORMAL?
-
Having your mole turned black isn't unusual as our product along with the help of your body is killing the mole tissue. This is how it gets removed. Everyone reacts differently, as our bodies and immune system are all different.

I AM ALLERGIC TO BANDAIDS. WHAT CAN I USE?
-
If you have a reaction to the bandaid adhesive as well you can try using some Nexcare sensitive skin tape and some non-stick adhesive pads and making your own bandage. Nexcare also makes self sticking bandages for sensitive skin. When you apply the bandage, try to apply it vertically so you aren't putting it on the same area each time. Make sure you are washing the area twice a day with mild soap before applying the Neosporin). This is going take some time to heal but it will heal.
-
-
DO I HAVE TO USE NEOSPORIN?
-
Don't worry about using Neosporin specifically. Because it is essentially a small open wound, it needs to be kept clean and disinfected so you will need to find another product that will work for you that will not cause an allergic reaction. You can use that product until the scab has fallen off and the inflammation has subsided, you can use a gentle moisturizer (like Aquaphor) throughout the day and night to keep it moisturized. You can also use our SkinSave ointment. It is similar to an all natural Neosporin. It helps prevent the formation of new scars. It is anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal and it speeds up the healing process. It is safe for cuts and wounds.

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't fall off in a day or two. The longer it stays on the better it heals.

CAN I USE HALDOERM TO REMOVE A SKIN TAG NEAR MY EYE?
-
You want to be careful about the skin tag above your eye. Use it only when your skin tag is at least 1⁄2 inch away from your eye. HaloDerm should not come into contact with any mucous membranes (vagina, anus, eyes, mouth etc.) so you need to make sure that you are not using HaloDerm within 1⁄2 inch of a mucous membrane. You also need to be aware that when applying it to an area with thin skin, it may cause inflammation similar to a bee sting which may be further irritated by clothes or skin constantly rubbing against it. You will need to use your best discretion if you chose to apply it in a sensitive area.
